The Finance & Management specialization in the third year of the Istec Bachelor’s program offers students a comprehensive immersion in financial analysis, management control, and investment strategy.
This program prepares students to analyze an organization’s financial performance, develop forecasts, manage budgets, and integrate regulatory and ESG considerations into decision-making. They also develop expertise in financial communication in both French and English, enabling them to thrive in demanding national and international environments.

This specialization provides comprehensive expertise in financial analysis, management control, and investment project evaluation. Students develop advanced skills in leveraging financial data, building dashboards, and managing performance.
The program also incorporates a strong legal component: regulatory compliance, risk management, the economic environment, and the legal framework for business activities. Students learn to integrate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations into financial management and to ensure the soundness of strategic decisions. The writing of a thesis in finance and management, as well as oral presentations in French and English, enhance analytical, argumentation, and professional communication skills.
Focus on Apprenticeships
The Finance & Legal specialization can be completed on a work-study basis according to a schedule of 2 days at school / 3 days in company or 1 week at school / 2 weeks in company., allowing for a progressive and structured professional immersion. This format offers students the opportunity to:
- Immediately apply the financial analysis methods learned in class
- Participate in the preparation of budgets and reports
- Contribute to performance management and financial control
- Identify and analyze legal and regulatory risks
- Integrate CSR-ESG issues into concrete situations
Work-study programs strengthen rigor, analytical skills, and a professional approach.
