Bachelor in Management
2nd year
The second year of the Bachelor in Management at ISTEC reinforces the professional and analytical skills acquired in the first year. It allows students to master advanced digital tools, leverage and analyze data for decision-making, develop their professional communication skills, and begin to assume responsibilities in project and team management.
This year is designed to consolidate expertise, deepen research methodology, and prepare students for the design and presentation of more complex professional projects. It combines theory and practice through company placements, real-world projects, and individualized support.
CURRICULUM
Program
The second year of the Bachelor in Management program at Istec is designed to consolidate and deepen the knowledge acquired in the first year. It offers a balanced combination of theoretical instruction, practical projects, and professional experience in a company, allowing students to develop their expertise in management, communication, data analysis, and business strategy.
Over the two semesters, students learn to leverage advanced digital tools (CRM, CMS, analytics, AI) to support concrete professional projects, to analyze and visualize data to inform decision-making, and to apply advanced research methods to structure professional theses and reports.
Professional communication in French and English is strengthened, with an emphasis on the ability to argue, negotiate, and present analyses persuasively.
The concepts of responsible leadership and project management enable students to lead teams, manage initiatives, and prepare larger-scale strategic projects.
Finally, the program places students in a professional and innovative mindset: they observe field practices, undertake projects in companies, develop a business plan, and create sustainable strategies that integrate economic, societal, and environmental considerations. This progressive approach prepares students for their third year, making them autonomous and capable of developing strategic solutions in a complex and uncertain professional context.
Focus on Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships remain a key tool: they allow students to put the skills acquired at school into practice, explore the professional world, and consolidate their experience. The schedule is one week at school, two weeks in a company.
