Bachelor's degree,
1st year
The first year of the Bachelor in Management at Istec Business School is a pivotal year for laying the foundations of your academic and professional journey. This program guides you in the progressive acquisition of essential digital, analytical, and communication skills, while developing your autonomy and critical thinking.
You will explore different facets of the professional world, learn to work in teams, and be gradually introduced to management practices and business strategy. The goal is to provide you with a comprehensive and structured vision of your future professional responsibilities, while consolidating your fundamental knowledge.
CURRICULUM
Program
The first year is structured around a solid core curriculum designed to provide all students with a comprehensive understanding of how businesses operate and their environment. This core curriculum enables students to master essential digital tools, learn to use and analyze data, and become familiar with academic research methods. It also introduces the fundamentals of management, strategy, and entrepreneurship, while raising awareness of ethical issues, responsibility, and societal impact.
In parallel, significant emphasis is placed on languages, particularly professional English. The goal is to develop written and oral communication skills adapted to business contexts and to prepare students to thrive in international environments. Language instruction is based on a practical approach, directly connected to the professional situations studied in class. All of these courses together form a homogeneous and structuring base, designed to prepare students for the development of skills in subsequent years and for specialization in the third year.
Project Focus & Professionalization
Professional development begins in the first year through interdisciplinary projects that draw upon the skills acquired in the core curriculum. Students complete individual and group projects that incorporate data analysis, the production of professional documents, and oral presentations of their findings.
These practical exercises promote learning by doing and allow students to connect theoretical concepts to real-world problems. Simultaneously, students begin developing their professional project and portfolio, gradually shaping their academic and professional identity.
