Financing your studies never relies on a single source. It’s a balance between your primary option (apprenticeship or initial training), public aid, supplementary programs, and, if necessary, bank financing.

At Istec Business School, the goal isn’t just to provide information about available financial aid. It’s about helping each student build a coherent financial plan tailored to their personal, family, and professional situation.

Some steps need to be taken several months in advance, while others can be initiated at the start of the academic year or during the year itself. Clarity and the order of these steps are essential to avoid financial strain.

Apprenticeship: the safest path

At Istec, for work-study programs, there are no tuition fees: the cost of the training is covered by the company (work-study program funding through established funding channels). A training organization cannot request registration fees or a deposit from a work-study student. How to benefit? Apply for a work-study program, the company approves the recruitment, and the contract is secured administratively and financially.

Internship: support for everyday budgeting

An internship is an excellent opportunity for professional development, and it can also contribute to your budget (depending on its duration and applicable regulations). Most importantly: plan your transportation, accommodation, and food expenses for the duration of your internship.

What internships most often cover: daily transportation and meals, sometimes part of your accommodation (if you're relocating), and it can reduce the need for a student job or taking out a loan.

Student job: a flexible option

Some schedules allow you to combine studies and a student job (evenings, weekends, free periods).

This is a useful tool for: securing rent, smoothing out expenses, or limiting potential loans.

Partnership and Student Benefits

Partnership with Caisse d’Épargne

Istec Business School and Caisse d’Épargne have partnered to offer students simplified banking services and exclusive benefits. This partnership aims to support students in their daily lives and financial projects.

The offers include tailored banking packages: the Comfort Package at €1 per year and the Optimal Package at €1 per month, including an international option for 18-25 year olds. Welcome gifts are also available: €80 for opening an active account, €15 deposited into a savings account, and €5 donated to the partner charity 1Cabaspour1Etudiant.

To support your projects, financing solutions are available, including a student loan at a preferential rate of up to €60,000 over 120 months, as well as a 0% consumer loan over 12 to 36 months. Loan insurance is optional.

Students can easily access these offers through a digital system: fill out the online form indicating ISTEC, receive the offers by email, and schedule an appointment at an agency if needed.

Scholarships & internal grants

Needs-based scholarships (CROUS)

Requested through the DSE (Student Social File), these services partially fund your monthly budget and provide access to social tariffs.

Procedure: Create a “My Student Services” account, complete the DSE application, upload supporting documents, and track your application.

Internship: support for everyday budgeting

Based on social and performance criteria, these scholarships allow for tuition fee reductions or targeted support, according to internal regulations.

Merit aid

For scholarship recipients who obtained the highest distinction in the baccalaureate, additional funding is available for accommodation, transport or equipment.

Specific and emergency aid (CROUS)

For occasional or ongoing difficulties, they can finance unexpected expenses or your annual budget.

Funding schooling and smoothing out expenses

Offers negotiated by Istec: Each year, the school can negotiate preferential terms with banking partners (interest rates, deferred payments, terms) regarding: tuition fees (excluding work-study programs), living expenses, equipment, and mobility.

State-guaranteed loan (Bpifrance): This loan allows borrowing without a family guarantor, subject to certain conditions and a maximum limit. It can finance: tuition, housing, and study-related expenses.
