The second round : february 2017

You can change pathways by joining the new school year (2nd round) of the Bachelor’s degree programme in February 2017. An intensive teaching programme allows you to receive the same programme content as students that joined ISTEC in September.

The new school year (2nd round) can be accessed by candidates wishing to join ISTEC in first year (endorsed Bac), in second year (endorsed Bac+1) or in third year (endorsed Bac+2).

The Bachelor’s degree programme can be followed under a block release arrangement (first, second and third years) or with training at the beginning (only the first year):

Curriculum under a block release arrangement:

First year: Under an alternating study/work placement contract or a study/temporary contract/permanent contract, 2 days at school and 3 days in a company every week.

Second year: Under an alternating study/work placement contract or a study/professional training contract or a study/temporary contract/permanent contract, 2 days at school and 3 days in a company every week.

Third year: Under an alternating study/work placement contract or a study/professional training contract or a study/temporary contract/permanent contract, 3 days at school and 7 days in companies

THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR (SECOND ROUND) IN FIRST YEAR (ENDORSED BAC): COMMENCES ON 1 FEBRUARY 2016

You will attend intensive compensatory seminars and you will also catch up on the first semester teaching on specific days.

Follow the first year programme: Basic knowledge and operational studies

Objectives: deliver a solid education to students and thereby enable them to better understand the challenges linked to their future job. The programme is an insight into the business world and imparts knowledge on the different market players. This year may be followed under a block release arrangement (alternating study/work placement contract), or with training at the beginning.

Highlights: 

  • a 3-day workshop examining the economic fabric of the Île-de-France region, providing students with an insight into commerce and entrepreneurship.
  • Carrying out an economic activity study
  • Association workshop

The course modules: The teaching is given in the form of real company scenarios to be worked on in small groups and subsequently reproduced in front of the rest of the class.

Association life: New students are welcomed by older students, members of the Associations Office (BDA) and ISTEC association leaders. They provide guidance during the initial years in the implementation of a new association project.

THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR (SECOND ROUND) IN SECOND YEAR (ENDORSED BAC+1): COMMENCES ON 1 FEBRUARY 2016

You will attend intensive compensatory seminars and you will also catch up on the first semester teaching on specific days.

Follow the programme of the 2nd year: In-depth study and in-the field experience

Objectives: apply company practices, manage an SME-SMI, identify the links between the company’s functions and its environment. This second year must be followed under a block release arrangement (alternating study/work placement contract)

Highlights:

  • Carrying out a customer study.
  • “Economic and social purpose” seminar
  • Negotiation competition

The course modules: The teaching is given in the form of real company scenarios to be worked on in small groups and subsequently reproduced in front of the rest of the class.

Association life: Second-year students with a particular interest prepare the Student Union campaign for the election of the new Student Union which will lead student life during the following year. Older students advise them, but the entire organisation and search for sponsors and funds is carried out by second-year students.

THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR (SECOND ROUND) IN THIRD YEAR (ENDORSED BAC+2): COMMENCES ON 1 FEBRUARY 2016

You will attend intensive compensatory seminars and you will also catch up on the first semester teaching on specific days.

Follow the third year programme: Mastering the skills of the chosen job role

Objectives: specialise in a specific job role, become fluent in the knowledge and practices of the specialisation, and produce measurable results. The programme is designed to effectively facilitate students’ integration into the professional world. This third year must be followed under a block release arrangement (alternating study/professional training contract or alternating study/work placement contract)

Choice of a specialisation: The third year is a year for specialisation; the following choices are offered:

  • Digital and Communication
  • International
  • Business

Association life: In the third year, the students in associations implement their projects. Students are offered the possibility to manage teams of 10 to 80 students and manage the budgets that are allocated to them. It is a year of taking on responsibility and developing professionalism and commitment.
